On the Elite i have just bought one of the problems was the Head unit was dead, fixed that problem today as it was unplugged ::) but now i have no sound at all, everything else is working just no noise, any ideas :question

Need to prove if it's the speaker outputs off the head unit, the cabling, the speakers or the Bose.
I'd try a known good speaker connected to the headunit with all others disconnected, at least then you can prove the Head Unit is good for starters.
I've seen a similar problem on a Cavalier years ago and it turned out to be a short on both speaker wires to earth as they went through to the front door which then brought down all of the speaker outputs on the Head Unit

no sound even from traffic master?

Nope :-/

presume you have checked the bose fuse ?? ::)
-
does the head unit actually state "bose" on the cassette door? As if not, it will be sending high level signals through the speaker outputs and the bose amplifier will trip as it expects to be fed line level signals ... assuming the elite is pre or mini-facelift ...

DO check the amp fuse, although I would hope thats already been done as there is a reminder permanently scrolling past on your signature!

Errrrr.... Wheres that then :question, checked fuse no 6 and the one on the back of the head unit, is there another :question

Sorry, didn't realise it was line level from the head unit, thought it was a seperate set of channels for the BOSE. Ignore my earlier advice! ;D
I'll get me coat
:-X :-X :-X

Given that the HU was dead/unplugged, has somebody been hacking around with it then???
...and it's a facelift isn't it?
-
Check the amp is still there :P
;D ;D ;D

Unlikely to be the following, (you'd probably hear something at least), but It could be both of the balance pots have dry joints.
i.e. the one that controls the left channel is acting as if the balance is all the way right and vise versa for the right channel.
See my post in the CDR 2005 thread....
