Remember, you dont want bass from the door speakers, only mid and high end.

Pop a sub in the boot to fill in for the best sound and idealy 30W RMS of amp for the door speakers with  a filter on to remove the bass (the original fit ones are actualy very good!)

Yeah, works wonders, also consider fitting an amp, will go most places in the boot, have mine on the back of the seat, alpine speakers replacing factory fitted door speakers, alpine V12 amp, alpine head unit, and kicker bass woofer in boot.

i want to retain the Vx head unit otherwise i'll loose the readout on the dash..... i have an old kenwood mono amp that has line level and speaker level inputs and low pass filters (KAC 716)for use with a sub but the problem is having an estate car is finding somwhere out of the way to put it......

5-1/4''(13cm) for the rear doors TYPE S, SPS 130A 150 watts peak (30 watts RMS), TYPE S again for the fronts 200 watts maximum output. :o

Hi guys

i want to upgrade my front and rear speakers in my car
any recommendations? what size do i need?
i havent even checked how many speakers i have in this car
think theres 2 in the front and 2 in the rear, any more hidden anywhere ?
gonna pop to my local car audio place and buy some speakers next week
i listen to a lot of ROCK, so speakers will take a pounding  ;D
i want to keep the factory fitted head unit and rear cd-changer
otherwise as stated before, i will lose all the digital info from the dashboard screen i take it?
