Title: CD Player Omega CDX 2001 (Y Reg)

Hi, Seem to be having a problem with my player recognising new CDS (Just bought 'The Very Best Power Ballads) - it will not recognise any of the disks but they will all play in any other player that I have. The player has become increasingly temperamental over the last few months. Is this something that is common? Can I do anything about it myself? Thanks.

Is it a CDR2006 stereo?

These do appear to be becoming troublesome  :'(

Hi, No - I think CCR2006 with 4 cd changer.

Sorry, thats what I meant.  The CD mechanisms do appear to be a bit unreliable.

Car audio specialists can repair, but shop around.  Marks_DTM_Calib on here has repaired a few, not sure what he charges, or if he has time at the moment  :-/
