I've got a facelift MV6 saloon. It's ex-plod, and doesn't look like it's fitted with an aerial.
Anyway, to get round this, I want to remove the roof-mounted mobile phone aerial (the black stubby one), and replace it with a beesting aerial. Has anybody done this before? Is it difficult?
Cheers :y

Hi, aerials are in the rear window on the Omega's
-
Yes, radio aerial is in rear window (look for vertical wires in the element). Aerial Amp is on shelf (saloons) or tailgate (estates).
-
How do I go about taking the shelf cover off (it's a saloon) so I can see if the amp is fitted (it's ex-plod)?
-
rear seat bench out. set backs at the edges out, and the main seat backs folder down. Remove C post trim. Head restraint guides out, rest is fairly straightforward.

I've got no aerial on my ex plod MV6 either, no aerial amp and no vertical lines on the rear screen either and no wiring for an amplified aerial in the headlining.
What's the best option for getting the radio working properly ? after market Bee sting/Shark fin amplified aerial or is there another way/solution. Also got no wiring to the rear load area light or illuminated grab handles.

Yours wont, its an estate.......it should have extended roof aerial, which is for the radio. Tho being ex plod, may have not been fitted or removed for police radio/etc

So would that be an Amplified aerial or a normal non amplified aerial ?

Forgot to add, it' a Vauxhall radio-CDR2005. Not sure if the aerial signal needs amplifying or not.
