Title: CCR 2006 - add on changer

Does anyone know if a cd changer (add on) can be added to a CCR 2006 head unit?  :-/

No, is the simple answer, unless i have missed a couple of connectors at the back of it!

It would have been an unnecessary additonal cost in manufacture as it had the 4cd changer in the main body.

That's a shame as my 4 slot magazine is being very tempermental, I might swap it for a cdr 2005, what do you reckon?

CCR2006 is basically (with a few mods) the Phillips CCR600 and Siemens CDC3 'glued' together.

CCR2006 come up occasionally on eBay

Thanks VXL, yes I have seen them on Ebay but am very reluctant to shell out close to £100 for what is a very bad design.
Will probabley end up getting a fascia adapter and fitting a single din unit.
Any suggestions on a reasonably priced single cd unit which will work with the MID and steering wheel controls?

Just noticed Jay W is thinking of replacing his 2006 with a different head unit, might be worth sending him a PM.
