Title: Speaker cables through to door - how?
Post by: Martin_1962 on 10 February 2008, 12:06:06
The loom is sealed and runs through a multiconnector, can can't feed through that.

Can't easily drill more holes without removing door.

Any ideas please?

Not but I have got speaker cable all the way down from the boot to the panel by the feet, better to take it to the cross overs than back to the H/U and back down again - saves hacking the cars loom.

I have got it out of the car on the left.

Slotted the rubber the loom uses and pushed feeder cable down. Brought through small gap at bottom of pillar.

As to cable the stuff I have got is quite hefty so won't get too much in the way of losses.

I just brought the speaker feeds from my amp up behind the head unit and connected to the car's loom there. Seemed better than messing about getting wiring into the doors and the wiring that's there is adequate.
