First thing i was told to install was MSN at my current job... use it all the time to chat to people in the office, send files. Very usefull

well normally i  would be in lessons so i wouldnt be able to ..... watchit your misses might get up set.......lol im sure she wont.

Working for a large company, and subtracted to another large company, all our Instant Messenging at work are corporate ones (currently MS Office Communicator).  Clever bits of kit, especially the phone integration, but not open to outside world :(

Same here, we have Sametime.........and IP phones.......

..........and its only when you use them all the time and have to do phone conferencing that you realise how shite they are due to the variable delay!

The integration is handy when I'm at home - if I've forgotten to divert office phone, its a simple right click to do so. The rest of the integration is just time saving (coz I'm too lazy to dial myself ::)).  Our VOIP works well, but I guess we have decent links everywhere...
