Cheers thanks for the info ill have a look tonight as my work block photobucket! 4 wires and ill have to see what they tally upto on the ccr600 wiring!
-
i also need the CCR 600 display wires aswell!

If the CCr600 has a triple info display then the wires are the same.
In the picture above, where I have scrawled GID, the four connectors with EMP to the right are for the GID, beneath that, the two connectors labelled CRP are for a TID. Same colour just less of them

no it had a MID
-
MID uses same wiring as gid

No it doesn't.....it ahs a CAn bus based link (a twisted pair basicly)
Here is the CCRT end of the install:

Its 2 wires. As said in the other thread I will put up a guide ONCE I've fully figured out the CD Changer bit (also CAN) - I think I have it, just need to test, but I'm waiting for a bit to turn up. Display is piss easy - had that working on dining room table weeks ago. CD not quite so straightforward, as as well as having to run a new CAN pair down to it, looks as if some wires may need to be disconnected, as electrically incompatible.
Patience, my friend.
The CCRT700 is functionally identical to MID (with exception of phone/gps corner of display), and is still known as a MID in GM documentation, but electrically unique amongst all the displays fitted.

Done it last night
CCRT 700 working with telephone display and 6 Disc Changer
C1: Old Con P1 FSDA YELLOW CCRT
C2: FSCL P 2 BLUE CCRT
KW82 Pin 6 Brown White
Wiring the display like that got myn working also CCRT 700s arent coded to their displays as both my CCRTs work fine
CD Changer was easier than display!!!
They wire up totally the same except the wiring for audio channels is a different color!
my CCR 600 used CAN to speak to the CD Changer well there was a CAN pair in the loom anyway so i connected that and hey presto frigged the audio pairs up and now it works
Just need to wire BOSE Amp in on friday and ill produce my How To Guide
The disc changer is abit slower loading discs compared to the CCR 600!
The CCRT 700 display wires differently to the MID Pin 9 is redundant
