Not for miggy, but what is a good aftermarket single DIN CD radio with bluetooth handsfree, iPod, and preferably a remote control? All in one kind of thingie. Not more expensive than necessary for decent quality and theft resistant would be nice.
TIA!

If you have a good look on ebay you can pick up a sony one for about £80 I don't know if it can be used with a remote though but can be connected to steering wheel controls with correct wiring.
One of my mates has a mini cooper s and it was in when he got it, sound quality is as good as you would expect from sony.

Ive a pioneer bt-55 that does all that, outdated now but they still do something similar.
Talks to steering and mid
choice of 10 illumination colours to match the car
aux in - so 3.5mm jack, no fancy ipod interface
-
I would also consider aux in.
As mentioned, this is not for the miggy so steering wheel controls and MID don't apply. Want a remote.

Found a Pioneer P7000BT in the US with everything, but it doesn't do Euro FM and can't find anything similar here. :(

All the pioneer stuff they do...
there is now an ipod interface that goes straight to the back of most there better stereo's, remotes all sorts, the bluetooth interface is expensive...
So get a lower spec HU with Bluetooth built in, add the remote and ipod adaptor, and jobs done!
They even do an underseat subwoofer - could be tempted for that myself!

Worth checking out the Clarion stuff
slightly more expensive than the Sony / Pioneer but unlike those, we haven`t had any come back under warranty !!

Dave's spot on about the Clarion, but I reccommend this.

And the only thing Sony about sony car audio is the badge, steer well clear

I think that I'm going to have to drop the requirement of CD player, it gave up and switched back to FM after a few sharp bumps. :(
Might do an SD card or something. The iPod thing is neat in concept, but nowhere to mount it . . .

I fitted a sony H/U the other day, twas only a cheapy but had pre outs, aux in on front and back and CD changer control. NOW, sony's ipod interface is only around £15 new (from the bay), utilises the changer and rear aux socket and allows the ipod to be controlled remotely. Therefore, run the cable to the glovebox or any suitable cubby and connect up and leave the ipod out of sight (charging) and control via the stereo controls. H/U also came with IR 'credit card' remote.
