Hi All
Pressed both buttons on the end of my wiper stalk and had a strange message on the display it reads
044 2
24060
Tried to put picture on but could not work out how. These appear breifly in the top half of the display where the temperature outside and radio station appear. It then changes back to normal. Any ideas what it means?

Don't worry about it. It's something to do with whether you have an manual or proper gear box, size of rims, etc etc :y

As Andy says, pressing both buttons together shows how the MID display has been configured, ie, which Engine, Gearbox, So the computer can work out correct readings for you, MPG, Range etc.
Might want to make a note of the Numbers in case MID packs up.

Means you drive an auto tractor engined omega with 225/55/16 tyres, and HID headlights.
So I'm guessing a 1998/9 2.5TD Elite auto....

With version 2 software as well....

Red in colour, chip on the front Windscreen NS, Rear OS Tyre pressure low...and the Tax runs out 22 April.

I still can't decide if that's spooky or geeky, damn impressive though whichever way you look at it.
