Hi guys,
My Omega is fitted with a Phillips CCR2006 unit that has a small fault. It's linked into the Bose system. I'm thinking of replacing it. Cassettes are old hat now and i'm sure there's a model that has the single CD at the top as well as the 4 pack at the bottom. Anyone know the model number please or indeed if there's an even better quality model available that will fit?
Regards,
Dragon.

NCDC 2013/15 Nav unit would be the factory fit version but, you need to change the display also.

As Marks_DTM says, the factory fit option is NCDC2013/5.
Top single slot can play CDs, but is really for Satnav disk. Bottom slot is a 4 disk changer.
Not a simple swap - it uses a different display (a GID or a CID, rather than your current MID). Rather than a radio code for antitheft protection, the radio and display are 'paired' to each other, and become useless if seperated and not depaired. This pairing/depairing requires a Tech2 and requires the carpass PIN used to pair them in the first place to depair, and your carpass PIN to pair them back.

Crikey, I didn't realise this. Indeed more complicated than I imagined as I didn't realise the top slot was primarily satnav. I've been offered a CCRT2008 which I guess isn't compatible then or not an improvement on the CCR? I haven't seen a picture of it so I don't know what it is exactly.

CCRT2008 is similar to CCR2006 but with a phone built in. So you need to ancillaries to run the phone.

I have a CCR800 bose system...same as the CCRT800 but without the telephone?? Straight upgrade...£100 including amps and speakers plus wiring...

Unfortunately from previous responses I gave up on the idea of upgrading and just bought a replacement CCR2006 off ebay.
