Title: Autobox ECU - GS820
Post by: TheBoy on 04 May 2008, 21:03:43
Should it fire up if supplied with power?

Used Haynes to wire up power, and diag line, but tech2 won't talk to it :(

You would have thought so! What is the true 0V? Chassis or a pin on the connector?

Does the Diag line normally route directly to pin 7 on the diag socket or is it interfaced through the engine ecu or similar?

Just wondering if there is any protocol conversion going on as a lot of the ECU's interface on the same pin and I don't really understand how they co-exist.  :-[

Has it got both switched and permanent 12v supplies to it? :-/

Has both 12v and switched 12v, as per Book of Lies.  Wires directly to diag pin, as do all the other ecus on non CAN cars...
