I've seen pictures of the ariel connection cable tied to the cage. But the easiest way I found was put the stereo in the cage, connect the ariel plug & then slide the whole assembly back into the dash. Takes a bit of brute force but works a treat

Cracking bit of kit this Harmon/Kardon unit, I've got the b&w old version, luckily I have an aux in on my Blaupunkt headunit and didn't have to use the aerial bits.  Quality is well worth it.  :y

i wired min to the cd line input via a double pole switch that allows me to change between the 2, obviously with an ipod there realy is no need for the cd unit other than to provide a signal to the head unit saying its there.

I'm not clever enough to do that. Is there a way to use the tape input on a CCR700?

yes you could use a tape adapte, this would plug into the line out port on the H/K control box, and then you plug the tape in, this is not realy a great way to do it as the sound will be compressed and filtered as it passes through the tapes audio system, other options are to use a wireless transmitter, like the one that DND sells, im sure he will pop along and post you some details.

my hk ipod kit arrived yesterday morning, looking forward to fitting it. currently using one of those cassette adapters but there's definitely a loss of quality in there. hk kit represents astonishing value, especially as a lot of places are chucking out the duotone edition in favour of the new overly priced colour edition, meaning you can get the duotone kit at a very reasonable price. at the end of the day, who needs their ipod select menu in colour anyway?

just a thought, but where does the hk kit draw its power feed from? i know it comes with a cigarette lighter adaptor but this is less than ideal, it also comes with a separate power cable for feed but not sure where this connects to on the omega...

can anyone who has fitted one advise? thanks in advance!  :y
