What size battery do I need for renewing the knackered one.
Currently fitted with an 065, is this the standard size?
TIA :y

I bought a 72A for mine as that's what had been on the car to start with & Vx agreed.

I go for the Halfords ones, they are the same amps but smaller which means ive got a bit more skin left on my hand after changing bulbs ::)

They're might be physically smaller but Vx's batteries are smaller in the pocket when using a Trade Club card! ;) IIRC a little over £50

Rotherham has no batterys in stock till Saturday.
Sheffield has 6 in stock and the retail price quoted was £67.00
I feel I know who I trust. Seem's the Rotherham Group are a bit cheeeeeeeky with the prices.

Many thanks for the part numbers Jimbob. Very much appreciated. :y :y
Battery, filters and oil ( 4 x 5) on the shopping list for this afternoon.

Thanks for all your help today Jimbob you were a star, I just wish the Vx dealers partsdesk were as good.
They Tried to charge me £67 Plus Vat for the 74 amp battery, because I hadnt done a print out I coulnt remeber the exact price. But I had phoned and confirmed it all.
I ended up paying the trade price after a 20 min debate.
Then asked for the oil, they tried chargeing me the 20 litre can price, a total of £80 plus vat even though I was after 4 x 5 litres = 20 litres the guy at the counter tried it on for the 20 litre size but tried to tell me it was the deal for for 20 litres. I couldnt get him to under stand he was looking at the wrong line in the trade book.
I gave him the part number for the deal and he still couldnt work it out.
Will be talking to managment about it tomorrow as he said the oil filter price of £4 each was the trade club price..... DOH!!! No wonder I have headache.
Any ways, experience learnt today, anyone that gains a Trade Club Card, do a screen print of each Trade/trade club price as confirmation, then create a word/excel parts/numbers list in advance, confirm it all by phone for availability and then go collect with the print outs as back up.
I confirmed parts/prices at retail prices, but on the phone they said they could not give club prices, fair comment, I knew what they were. But the guy I spoke to would come out as he told the counter clerk he had quoted me a price (yes, retail (£67+vat) and because the clerk had heard that thats what he worked to, regardless of trade club discounts.
Good News is the Elite Now has a Brand New GO Battery on it and can be used on a daily basis at last. ;D ;D ;D :y :y :y
