Title: NCDC 2013 and tech 2 help required
Post by: DaveMarshall on 24 June 2008, 20:41:48
I've got an Omega Elite here with the Siemens NCDC 2013 fitted, mate of mine from Vauxhall came up today with Tech 2 to remove it for me so I can sell it, neither of us 100% knowing what we are doing but having a basic idea.  Anyway he found when looking at the data that it says Delivery Status  Anti-Theft inactive.  He thinks that this means it is already in delivery mode?  Pretty unsure myself was wondering if anyone could shed some light or give some pointers as I don't want to sell it only for it not to work in someone elses car.

Thanks, Dave.

Depends how much you want to pay  ;)  Just need to find out if it is in delivery mode ready to sell or perhaps there is something that we've missed?

Which screen do you have? GID or CID?

Oh and I think it's unpaired - read this: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1210279566/0#7

From memory he should be accessing the radio via Tech2 and under programming options there is a deactivate security option.

When entering this you need to enter the immobiliser PIN number to de-activate the security.

Pretty sure that's what he did wouldn't let him enter anything and at the top of one of the menus it said delivery status anti-theft inactive.

Beeps then displays that every i'd guess 10 seconds.

that looks like its in a mess, sorry.

get it to me, I **may** be able to sort something, but its dependent on cid status.

Do you mean the car or just the radio?  Car is just a shell now pretty much so can't move it was just hoping to de-pair the radio and then I could remove the last few bits before scrapping the car.

Thanks, Dave.

I can`t offer any help on the head unit, but I can certainly reset the CID back to delivery mode if needed.

Think i'm about ready to give up on the thing, seen them go for good money on E-Bay before that haven't been removed with tech 2.

Is that because you could not get the CID that Dave read to mate to the head unit?

The one I have certainly appears to be in un-paired mode.

Are you guys swapping CIDS between you, as so far, I have not read one for you TB , so not sure its one of mine you are playing with. As Marks DTB Calib said, the one I did for him appears to be OK ?

Can you let me know, as if there is a problem, I need to investigate it.

PM Sent.  The one I have, upon further thinking about it, may have a further error causing it to appear paired, when in actual fact the flash may be set to unpaired....   ....I need to play further when I get time. Or test it in someones car (it doesn't fit mine)
