Title: Updated Sat Nav discs
Post by: Alldi on 07 July 2008, 17:56:15
Hi all, are updated discs available for the sat nav in my '99 Elite? I believe it's the Philips Carin system, that has the small screen by the head unit. Where is the best place to get one from?

Many thanks for any help

Philips dont really exist any more, so you may be out of luck getting one from them.  BMW still use Carin systems, and I'm running a BMW Carin disk from about a year ago in mine.  It must be a Carin one though (will have a large carindb file on it).

99% of nav discs are either from Navtech or Teleatlas (not interchangeable) - have a look on your old disc to see if one of these names appears on it, and then track down the respective company for an update.
