if its flashing, and making no noise, then the powersounder (if there is one) will be buggered, and also most likely the horn sounder may be goosed too.

I had to fit a different horn to my Omega to get the alarm to make a noise (under the scuttle, drivers side, next to where the powersounder is located.)

If you want to test your alarm and cant see any interior sonic sensors (facelift position is with the courtesy light), leave a window open, lock the car and deadlock it (2 clicks on the remote), take the little chip out of the key blade (remove blade from the fob part, its the little chip in the blade end). and then after about 30 seconds after locking the car, try to start the car with the blade through the window with the chip removed.  DONT LOSE THE CHIP!!!!

If the only thing which happens is the engine management light flashes, but no indicators flashing or horn/siren, then you have no alarm.

I have the same problem with one of my omega's, the indicators flash but no horn sound, I checked the horn and it works. I tried a bulb connected to the loom for the horn and nothing happened, seems no voltage is going to the horn.

any ideas on that one?

cheers
