As I recall you are limited on choices of mobile provider with the CCRT700.

Vodafone works fine and I am sure T Mobile is fine too.

It is down to the ban the provider uses and the headunit will only support the 900mhz level.

Apologies for the not very technical comments but I am no telecoms engineer (unlike a few people here).

O2 and Vodafone should be OK, it's a GSM 900Mhz device  :-/

Orange and T-Mobile are PCNGSM 1800Mhz so don't work

Think there was something about putting PAYG cards in them though why that should cause an issue I have no idea.

O2 and Voda are only 2 900Mhz GSM in UK.  Both work fine in ccrt700.

Personally, I use a voda PAYG card in mine.

p n go in my siemens 2015 that works but not the
same radio as your tho.
Is it still firmly held it the credit case sized holder it
came in? Or maybe clean the metal contacts with a
pencil rubber if your sure its secure and the correct
Way up.

Does the sim work in your Phone OK?

Most phones now take the small sim ?
Think radio takes large Sim
If you break it out from large sim problem geting to fit radio
with out adapter.

Dave, your the expert. Just a thought?

I meant could the phone section of the radio have a fault.  Do you have another SIM you could try?

I've had my Omega for 5 years and thought the fitted phone need some special VX thingy so never even considered using it. Until now, reading through the forum. So, just nipped out and stuck in a spare SIM I had lying around and it only bl**dy works!! How cool is that?! (Or how thick am I..) More great advice from OOF :y
