Title: Radio/Cd wiring
Post by: silvermayne on 31 August 2008, 15:27:32
Having found the face unoriginally stashed below the front seat, thieves then ripped (and I mean ripped) the main unit out. All that is left is a spaghetti of bare ended leads (the aerial is OK).
Can anyone help with identifying the leads and is there a terminal connector I can buy that will fit any new unit I buy?
Thankyou.

Hi, welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your break in. Scum bags. Sounds like they took an aftermarket radio as  none of the omega range
came with removable facia. But fill in your profile with your car, engine and year with your location and  some of the clever buggers on here may well be able to work out what should be in there. May even be a spare radio knocking about, you never know. Theyll be along soon on doubt.

All standard fit prefaclift ones have a removalable security panel ;)

To OP, The Book of Lies (Haynes) will included colours for radio wires if it was an ISO 26 type radio - CAR300/400/CDR500/CCR600/800

What stereo it was would help...if its standard fit then chances are you could get the bits you need cheap enough off here then just match up the wiring colours and hey presto :)
