hi - any auto electricians in ?? - i have a 2001 Omega v6 2.6 CD auto - the key fob doesnt work, hence have to manually unlock and lock the car. When unlocking it, the hazards (all indicators) flash, until ignition is switched on and/or car is started. - any help?? - would be much appreciated. - thanks

Open the door with the key and the alarm will go off. That is the design. By the sound of it your power sounder has been disconnected or removed. They sometimes play up. So no siren. Fix the bliper and all will be well. Best place to start is new battery.(see club shop, if only for the number) If that does not work, it may need a refresh, not exactly sure of the procedure but, it involves pressing the button with key in the ignition.
Maybe have a search on that one. See how you go with that for now. Hope helps.

Assuming it's not just a flat keyfob battery, and you've tried resynching .. (key in ignition, on but not started, press lock then unlock, doors should all cycle through) .....

Does an excellent job in repairing keyfobs ( he's done both mine ! ), give him a PM and have a chat .. he may be able to help, depending on what the problem is.
