With the key out & car locked up? Mine are off then! ;) but with the key out & the radio on, they are lit!
Are they LEDs or bulbs?
Err? Pass ;)

Mine come on whenever the radio is on, regardless of headlights, etc.

Yeah, thats what I thought should/would happen, cheers guys :y
Mine seems to be behaving somewhat differently, they stay on for a while afterwards...

Ta. Not going to have a hit on the battery then. Though looks like they go out after an hour or 2 anyway.
I have no idea why they stay on that long though...

with this and the glove box post... Have you got a new motor or something?

Just been out to the car in the dark. S wheel lights did not come until radio turned on. Radio off lights off shut door lock car. S w Lights stayed on for a good 10 mins and where still on when i left it. Presume they stay on while the radio is still "live" and they go off after that time has expired. Never noticed that before.

Same with mine stay on for sometime after engine is off.

mine also stay on for a while after engine off

Those that stay on, what radio you got?

Those that stay on, what radio you got?
Siemens 2015.

Remember if fitting an aftermarket radio, the IGNition and PERManent lives will be swapped over - we all know how to do this for the head unit, but many of the aftermarket steering adaptors can often be wired incorrectly, so may be worth checking the wires with a meter at both ends of the steering interface box and altering accordingly.
Lights should go off when switched off / powered off, and for those that stay on, this needs to be checked, as its not just the led`s that are on, it is often powering external circuitry as well by default.

Forgot to mention, this is for aftermarket stuff - unsure if applicable to OEM fitment.
Most Vauxhall radios can be turned on without the need for an ignition key, and will usually time out and switch off after an hour - this tends to be a feature of the head unit, and not of any vehicle circuitry though. May help explain why some lights are on?

2015 is stock. So yes. it was my assumption that the lights stayed on for the 1 hour period after the ignition was turned off. I have noticed i quiet hiss from the speakers while working on the car, presumably for the same reason. I had also presumed all elites had 2015, whats the diff.? not that its relevant.

OK, seems normal for the NCDx factory fit one to leave the steering wheel controls on for a while then :)
