hi all
am brand new to OOF have just bought my 1st Omega an 02, 2.2 GLS, low mileage but excellent condition, nothing special, but a very nice car for little money, would like some help, i want to install a cd changer but have'nt a clue to which one, all stereo is standard, CDR2005 VDO, would the Blaupunkt CDC AO3 10 disc unit connect to the unit??????
-
Nothing will officially connect to that unit. Its possible that one of the CDC3s may work, but never tried.

Sadly not :'(

hi Ben, and Welcome.
Maybe look at changing the head unit? If i read your post correctly you have a face lift car. I am not familiar with the gls but i am presuming that all face head units will interchange into the same space in the centre console, if thats correct, (maybe someone will confirm?) then maybe keep eye out for a vx head unit with a built in cd changer?
May well be cheaper in the long run too? Maybe someone can advise on which one to go for and what will work, if at all? Suspect one from a cdx might be simplest but may well need the screen? All assumptions on my part so get a couple of opinions before diving in. Hth

For factory fit options, if you want a changer, ccr2006 is a plug and play option. You will need the security code with radio though.
The other factory option is the NCDC2013/5, which has built in satnav. This will need a replacement computer display in dash, either GID or the colour CID. These are a bit more difficult to fit, requiring minor wiring changes. They are also coded together with specialist equipment.
