Really miss the CD changer I had in my last car (not Omega)
Can I add one of these to my CDR 2005 in my facelift http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-sony-ctaops003-cdx-t69_p-22512.htm or do I need to change the whole unit for the factory fit one, that's the one with CD changer is it CDR 2006.
Or can anyone recommend a head unit to replace for a multiple CD unit.
Not got mega bucks to spend though.

Neither the CDR2005 or CCR2006 have the ability to run an external CD changer, but on the plus side, the CCR2006 with its inbuilt 4 disc changer is a direct plug and play replacement for the CCR2005
Word of advice though when looking for a CCR2006, make sure it works, avoid any with "flap" damage and if you can get a warranty, so much the better. I can assist with Code numbers and CDC-SAFE errors should you want to go for a cheap bargain though.

Thanks for that advice Dave, are the CCR 2006 available as a new unit, say from Vauxhall or now obsolete, in other words secondhand market.

Still available new, but you wouldn't want to buy one...

Just further questions to this thread.
If I do change my head unit......
I have all the relevent documents with the car except the radio code and car pass whatever that is?
Will my local Vauxhall dealer be able to provide this info (is it on their database) I do use them for servicing so would they help me, and would they charge me loads of ££££s for doing so.
Would it be better to get it decoded elsewhere?

Take your log book and they can order you one, anywhere between £15-40 depending on stealer

I can help with decoding, and if your Vauxhall garage needs to send it away for decoding, then cut them out of the equation and send it to me directly, as I don`t charge OOfers any more than I charge the main dealers, who will mark it up substantially !
