Do all omega elite's ask you do carry out a brake light check on the display before the check light goes out,
I was in a 2001 omega elite 3.2 today and when I started it up it didn't ask it just went straight to the radio display, so I switched it of and on again and it still didn't ask, the brakes lights work fine but every other omega i've been in always ask before the check light goes out
I should mention it was fitted with a CID, also the bose symbol and the vauxhall griffin on the display at the start/ opening credits was very faint but the clock in the top left was ok and the rest of the display on other menu's was also ok
Any ideas

All cars with check control display it. CIDs show a pic of pressing pedal.
Brakelights not stuck on?

Brakelights not stuck on?
That what I thought,
I was in the car by myself so couldn't look and press the pedal at the same time but when I pressed the brake pedal I could see the brake light reflection on the car behind when I pressed the pedal

The Bose logo on mine is dark grey and the Griffin is Red, I think Tech II allows you to set the Griffin to dark grey as well.
Also you can set the contrast from one of the menu's so may have been 'lowered' as the map display can be a little bright at night.

Yes - you can disable check control on GID/CID whilst still keeping all other functions.

I have to say it was annoying jumping in and out of the car while buzzing round town today, to keep cancelling the bloody ice warning. 6 times altogether. Does check controle cover all the warnings or just the brake light pedal press?
Is it possible someone is trieing to hide a fault tho?

Get a sneaking suspicion that outside temp is not covered by check control...

What is covered then? A number of things or just the brake lights?

fuel level, hid range, sim card not present(probably not, but needed for the SOS with sat nav location tho? I had to buy sim just to rid the warning)
Aaaaanyway. Which one did the owner get so annoyed with to warrant turning it off? Possibly?
-
Not fuel (Trip computer), nor SIM (telematics)
