Title: rpm sensor fault

hi all i keep getting an rpm sensor fault coming up , any ideas why?

Sorry to gate crash this thead but i had code 19 and the opinion of the forum and my opinion also was that it was the crank sensor.

after changing the sensor i still have code 19,the starting problem was fixed by freeing the ICV off so it let some air in on start up but any idear about the code???

19 means that ECU is unhappy with the signal it is getting from crank sensor. Once fixed, it disappears fairly quickly in my experience.

It carnt be too unhappy though as it runs faultless

Hmm. I'll check it out and post here... This problem is quite common among Vectras, Monza/Ascona, and Kadett, that uses the (same?) 2.0i engine.

Buuuut... I have a 3.0L and usually these codes say NOTHING... my car was crazy, not starting, dying and the like. I kind of reset my ECU by unplugging battery for a few hours and that cra* ran well after. Error codes I got: 73 plus 13. Lambda + air flow sensor...
