It costs you nothing to take the seat out & have a look! ;) Disconnect in the correct order though, or it'll cost you to reset the airbag light. ;D ;D :y :y

ok,cheers my fellow members, thanks for your replies, suppose ill just take the seat out and have a buthers.

as its an MV6 this might be worth a try
if you have Leather with the posh extended sports thigh supports then swap that round with the passengers seat worked on myn! now Mrs TMX has the cold arse ;D

The driver's seat heating in my '98 Elite has gone too! :'(
The heating in the other seats still works though.
Apologies if this has already been covered but are there any simple checks that I can do to see if it's something silly that has failed? (Power connection???)
If the heater pad's not working am I right in thinking that the easiest solution is to get a replacement seat?
I'd be grateful for any advice.
Cheers. :)

Use your multi-meter to check whether you've got 12V to the seat, if so, then the likey case is the heater pad is fubar'd.
Even if you have leather - which a dealer will say you've to replace the seat cover to repair - just put a seperate heater pad, intended for fabric seats, in under your existing seat cover.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a go. :)

heater pad....... hmmm... where do you get them from?
