Hi
Seriously considering buying Loo-Knees Bose system he has for sale.
My question is how easy would it be to install in my car. With mine being the GLS model i was wondering if i have all the relevant wiring in place etc. how easy is it to replace the display etc. Mine is a mini facelift same as what it has come from but with mine being the bottom of the range model not sure everything is there that i need. Also whilst i am at it i am also thinking about having his parcel shelf with blind too, again how simple is this to fit??

Look in the boot top left hand corner. If you`ve a multi-plug hanging there, already wired up for blind. :y Not sure about Bose though wouldn`t have thought the loom would be there on the GLS :-/

bose comes with a sub loom but the ccrt700 has its own loom so would have to change loom from head unit to kick panel ! not the easyiest loom to change also the mid is different so that loom needs changing too quit a bit of work mate to be honest ! blind as rob says if the plug is in passenger corner of boot plug and play ! would be much easyier to fit the ccr800 bose system :y

ccr800 bose would be much easier to fit, and imho sounds slightly better that all the other bose stuff. But then I'm tone deaf ;D
ccrt700 needs an adapter to be made between your loom and the HU - easy to do from 2 TM looms - and a cable run to mic, and another one run to a cellular aerial (obviously only if you want the phone). Ensure you get the courtesy light and the mic with the stuff, ideally with a short bit of loom so you have the connectors (different connectors to your courtesy light)

Cheers for that. Cant see the multiplug in top left hand side of boot, so i am guessing its not possible to fit the shelf, oh well nice idea.

CCRT700 requires lots of faffing about!
wires have to be changed in the MID connector as it uses CAN you also need to have a grey connector MID
the CDC needs either 2x new wires or some wires moving around as it uses CAN and the CCRXXX series stereos dont!
as TB said if you want BOSE get a CCR800 or get a descent stereo and amp the bose system imho isnt very powerful atall!
courtesy light mic also needs new wiring as my MV6 didnt have any wires hanging about up there so i had to run in 4x wires for the mic

I have to disagree with you there, I find the Bose sounds brilliant especially in a saloon :)
