Hi, me again ::)
The meg has the standard 4-disc changer double din thing in the dash, for the first time ever the standard stereo is decent enough not to justify immediate extraction and binning.
The problem is, the flap that should cover the cartridge unit has gone astray, which looks a bit rubbish. More importantly it is more ammunition for my beloved to argue I have bought another stupid, obsolete, oversized, thirsty, tatty knackered white elephant. She does not appreciate immaculate bodywork and a beautiful engine so much, the details are everything!
Can this flap be replaced? If so does anyone know the part number or better still have a spare one for sale?
Many thanks again :y

Since Philips went belly up many years ago, those flaps are now as rare as rocking horse poo !
:'(

Bugger. :(
-
Does it play without flap - its designed to prevent playback if not closed?
Edit: if flap missing, then switch wont be activated, so it always thinks flap is closed, so will play CDs...

I have the CCR6000 available from my omega, the "power on" push function no longer works and the front panel has detached from the main body. The CD flap however appears to be fully functional.

I'm getting my V6 cdx facelift end of next week and want to change the radio and cd player system it's a ccr2006 and seems to be all there so watch this space if you haven't sourced a cd flap

imo the CCR2006 is quite a good headunit/cd player with the in dash cd changer instead of having to get out the car go to the boot and change the discs that way or even worse be tempted to try and change them while driving if the changers in the glove box :P
