Title: Fitted Bose
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 19 February 2009, 19:12:26
Today an 800, fitted the speakers etc moved the amp so I have not lost any space in the boot, put the head unit in as I got a car pass from the car I removed it from, put the code in no go tried it three times I think  >:(
So looks like the Radio needs decoding now :'(

Ah Massivese - Sorry !!

When you moved the amp, did you modify any cables? Check that you have 12V power going to the amp. There will be a signal from the head unit that turns the amp on, check this also.

I have tried another amp with the blue connector like the one Inhave fitted to my car, but still no sound.....

I have put a volt tester on what I think are the right wires and got 11.63 volts at the amp....

On the MID say Radio 1 etc also when I press the cd button says cd1 track 1, i press the number 2 and i can hear the multidisc player changing the cd...

So I am puzzled hate wiring anyway, any help would be much appreciated by by Mrs and kids as they will be putting up with my singing ;D

No need now youth banging top tunes out.... :y

A Massive thanks to Captain Zok for all his help :y :y :y

I have an MV6 that has never had Bose, apparently there is supposed to be a fuse in socket 6 for it. MV6's dont come with Bose so dont have this fuse pushed in place.

It does now and is Bangin some Class tunes out ;D

Thanks to everyone for helping.

Dave DND did a brilliant job of getting my code to me over the internet so a Massive thanks to him too :y
