STUDYING.......
I am doing a aeronortical engineering degree in avionics at the mo and all i seem to do is study. :'( :'(
please make me laugh i have had enough ........ :(. i need to get my brain to switch off!
plz help.

Went down to Timbuk's today with EP, where the Cambelt Party is on the 23rd.... I understand there is gonna be around 30 people going, and there ain't a toilet in site, there are plenty of Soil Mountains to dive behind ;D picturing 30 odd guys and gals with shovels and bog paper in hand ;D ;D ;D and the Security man pissing themslves watchin on the CCTV ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well as a control systems engineer, I automatically discount the 'Gorilla's' as we call them..... (sorry if anyone is a mechanical engineer by the way)

OK, its true.
Watched our lads strip four PF burners from one of our units. Our 'fairies' were struggling to keep in front of them, stripping the more delicate bits off first!
Very impressive, no messing about where their involved

Well actually, its our technicians that do the work, I just organise and manage... (what does than make me????)

Have a search on the internet on the exploits of your retired pilots in the last RN fighter.
They are quite funny and quite embarrasing for US top gun style pilots

A bloke walks into a bar with a giraffe and says to the bar man a pint for me and one for the giraffe the bar man looks puzzled but gives them what the man asked for this goes on for some time then out of the blue the giraffe sways from side to side and falls over and the guy turns and heads for the door also swaying to which the bar man shouts

Most of my stories are sad. When I was starting my MechE degree all of the Aero's couldn't get jobs, as in only 1 out of the 8 with perfect grades got a job in Aero!
Avionics as I know it isn't exactly Aero . . . reminds me of when I missed a connecting flight that only went once a week because the DG was bad on the first plane and it was New Year's day and the one maintenance guy hadn't shown up for work. ::)
The frozen chicken thing is a myth! ;D

as an amusing coincidence, my Step father was heavily involved in Concorde's Avionics.....
boy did he sigh a deep breath of relief when the investigation revealed no faults with his work after the crash that ended it's career as a passenger toy.
even though it was WELL beyond it's original designed service life.... he still felt potentially responsible for any failure "on his watch"
these days he lectures Engineering science at Oxford ....
