It powers up but I cant try get the code in ( which I'm not sure of yet ). Could the radio be KO'd ? I was thinking of buying a vauxhall cd/radio off ebay , but dont want to get 1 if its my wiring thats shot . I hope some1 might have an idea B4 I waste any money .

When you turn radio off, do you get date on MID? Does date go when you turn radio on?
-
HI , the date stops on all the time . The radio powers up but thats all .

Its possible that the MID has been programmed not have a radio, also possible that the remote on function isn't getting as far as MID.
If you have steering wheel controls, when it gets dark, see if these light up when radio comes on.

Hi again, on further investigation I found the top connector had a wire missing from it . Thanks for your help

Thats a common way to 'reprogram' the MID not to have a radio. Doesn't need a tech2 that way ;D
