As far as I was aware, there are no options for UK TMC with that unit as Vauxhall would not pay the development / license cost.
Maybe others can confirm. :-/
-
Nope, no UK TMC no matter what the display tells you!
-
Later vauxhalls have TMC unfortunatly the omega doesnt
perhaps when insignias come mainstream in a few years then it may be viable to upgrade an omega to an insignia's satnav/stereo
-
No TMC on the NCDx series in the UK, due to the UK having an encrypted/subscription system. NCDx series receive and act on TMC in Europe, where it is not encrypted.
All NCDx maps from 2005 have the TMC update that allows it to receive (in Europe, it will NEVER EVER EVER work in UK - the company who runs it in UK has paid a lot of money, so won't unencrypt TMC).
-
Official place for maps is http://www.navteq.com/ but can be picked up cheaper from Ebay. Ensure its an original, as the lasers in these units don't like CDRs.
Please not, to protect the forum, we will not allow discussions of where and how to obtain illegal copies.

Looked in to the Vectra ones, nah, forget it. Assume Insignia will be similar.

Insignia units (apart from being heavily CAN implemented) have facias that follow the lines of the dash so won't be able to implement on an Omega
Early Vec C's had 2013/15 with standard display, later CAN implemented Head Units feature widescreen displays so again two major isues that stop you putting them in an Omega.

None of the Vectra C had 'standard' displays, as it performs a vital function in CAN (its a bridge between 2 of the 3 CAN Buses on the Vectra)

Ah didn't know that, does the 2nd CAN line replace some of the sensor input lines then?

lol,never looked to be honest...

I suspect the veccy won't use the sensor lines line Omega does, remember its can based.
