Title: Failed door lock
Post by: CB on 02 May 2009, 20:38:51
I suspect I won't get the answer I want, but I'll ask anyway.
Omega 2.2 2003 front passenger door lock will not open. All other locks OK.
I'm trying to avoid trying to take the door panel off with the door shut so:
1) Is there an accessible master solenoid that controls the door locks that might be faulty?

2) If not, is there any way the stuck lock can be worked so that I can get the door open?

Appreciate the help.

I had that problem where the locking button wouldn't come up, therefore the door wouldn't unlock.

I got round that by prising up the plastic trim around the button to remove it and sqirting some WD40 down the hole to the solenoid. After about 30 seconds the button came up and the door opened.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with 2 doors in short space of time.
Even had to climb into the car through rear passenger doors..
Changed solenoids in all 4 doors (to be on the safe side) and this problem hasn`t occured since!
