Title: 2013 Navi display problem
Post by: espen22 on 27 May 2009, 22:19:37
Hi bought a omega with an broken down 2013 in it. it is so broken that it wont start nor connect to the tec2. so i got a new on e-bay.
its unmarried/depaired. so it should work, but the display is not depaired from the broken radio.
Is there a way to unlock it with the codes and pair it with the new radio??

I am in a bit of trouble here since the nearest workshops newer have used the tec2 for more than key programming and fault codes... so i depend on helping them use this on my car, and for that it would be nice to have some help. :-/

Do you know the pairing code used for the original display?

last owner says that it should be in the glove, but i think hes mixing them with the codes for the pioneer that was fitted instead of the 2013.
So i guess i must call in my vin to Opel Norway with my fingers crossed that they stored it somewhere.
Thats means problems  :(
The car was imported by last owner from germany, hoping that i doesn't have to call there.

Is it possible to solve this with the right codes?

If you have the codes, fit new radio and attempt a single Theft Activation with the same code, and if that fails, attempt a single Theft Deactivation, followed by a theft activation with same codes.

If you do not have the codes, assuming that faulty one was factory fit, it should be same as your immobiliser PIN which is on your carpass (available from dealer if lost).

If the dealer cannot provide, there are 3 people in the UK who know how to get the code from your broken radio, but that will mean sending it to one of us :(

Sent an mail to Germany today, asking for the codes.
Here in Norway they charges me 75£ just to try and provide me the carpass, is that a fair price?
I do not think so.
Thanks for your help :) i will try to get the codes before i take this any further.

In the UK, carpass costs between £15 and £50 in my experience.
