As the title says, I want to take out my radio/cassette, I have de-activated the code, but need to know how to remove the actual stereo, or just the facia. I have the tools for removing the 7" x 2" radios, but never taken any of these new fangled sets out.

Just need a bigger version of the traditional keys, Halfords etc
The VX ones do tend to be a tight fit though, so coathanger mod's dont tend to work as well.

OK thanks, will shoot to Halfrauds in the morning then. :y

Remove the alan key grub screws first though ::) :y

Spend an extra few quid on the genuine Vx keys, as this unit is usually so tight in the dash that the Halfords ones may not latch onto it correctly to pull it out.
-
halfords ones are autoleads ones, and to be honest, they are a bit pants.

I got a mate in a garage to remove it, he knows what he is doing, the CD Cartridge flap has a bit broken off, trying to mend it, unless anyone here has a CCR2006 which is U/S. ::)

OK so where are the alan key grub screws? I can't see any on the front.

If you can see four holes on the fascia, then the grub screws may have already been removed, they are there purely to bung up the holes for the removal tools and serve no other purpose.

Thanks Dave, I was worried I'd missed something for a minute! I don't have any in mine - just the holes.
