Title: CCR2006 and/or CDR2006
Post by: colin33 on 15 June 2009, 16:26:44
When I picked up my 'new' car it has a duff radio unit, whichfrom memory wasa CDR2006.  The garage swapped it and I now have a CCR2006.

Was I imagining it was a CDR first time, or is there such a model?  If so what are the differences?  Which is the better?

The first one when switched on dispplayed 'code' then the station.  The second displays 'code' 'Bose sound' then the station. Why the difference?  What does the Bose sound indicate?  There's nothing in the audio handbook to tell me.

p.s. the CCR2006 also has a fault (a different one!), so I may need to get the better one repaired, or bin it and get an after-market unit instead (which explains my other topics in this forum).

If it was a single disc, then may have been CDR2005

If cassette with 4 disc changer, then CCR2006

CDR2006 was not a Vauxhall radio !!

Thanks Dave - must be my imagination then - both units have 4 disc changer in them, so I'll choose the beter of the two (or scrap both!).
