Title: Key Fob Question

Hi all

I have a 1997 Omega 2.0L GLS with the 2 Button Remote everytime i reprogram the fob it seams to stop working after a few times so i have to reset it everytime i thought it might be the battery so i have changed that, Is it just a Duff Keyfob?

Is the battery holder still firmly connected to the circuit board?

These can become detatched and cause this sort of thing

Seams to be the battery is firmly in place and doesnt seam loose at all

As Jimbob says, the symptoms are the same as the common fault whereby the battery holder has a dry joint to the board...

try cutting a piece of cardboard (cereal box is right thicknesss) and putting it on top of the battery before reassembling the key - I found this makes it work better
