Any ideas whats going on here then ,my sat nav is acting very strange I have reset the car position a few times as it seems to loose where I am.
I put the sat nav on to go to work (only to see if it is working),as I said I reset the cars position and it seemed to be ok but after a couple of turns it was showing the position to be about 12 miles from where I was .
I was in Bicester and it was telling me I was in woodstock I checked and it was telling me it could see 4 sats so why is it doing this .
I have not changed the antenna yet as I am not convinced it is the problem ,or would it still point to this being the problem :-?

wanna borrow an antenna (or main unit) to pinpoint the problem?

Fairly classic symptoms of antenna failure. I have seen the Gyro fail in the main unit giving a similar fault, but only seen that once in the last ten years as opposed to losing count of how many GPS antenna we have replaced.
Receiving a GPS signal can still mean a faulty antenna, although I can fully understand why it is often thought otherwise.

I will get a new antenna if you still think its the problem then . :y

Certainly where I would start, and antennas are always re-sellable if it proves to be otherwise
