Title: Yet another cruise problem
Post by: furrymunkey on 23 July 2009, 15:11:27
Today I went to fit the 4 pin brake switch I bought to enable the cruise control I fitted, however when I pulled the plug off it seems to only have 2 wires. I also found a small white plug with 2 round connectors....clutch switch plug?. Is there any possibility of wiring 4 wires to my new brake switch or am I screwed?

I guess I'll figure it out on my own then  :D

I have seen some early manuals that only have a 2 pin brake switch.  I think (but don't know) it seems to be early 4 cylinder manuals.

Soz, can't help more  :'(

Thanks TB
It's a 96/97 so maybe it will work with the 2 pin switch. I'll fit the clutch switch and try it. The rest of the wiring was normal....as in the stalk ( 4 wires ) and the wiring under the bonnet so hopefully cruise might work without the need for a 4 pin switch.
