Title: Xenon Headlight Leveling...
Post by: Ian_D on 01 August 2009, 10:20:57
I've had the Low Fld Vision message pop up on the MID the other week, so plugged my laptop in to see what the problem was - It was to do with the front level sensor.

Anyway, I removed the front sensor, and then pulled the front cover off. The insides were wet  :'(

Left it to dry out, and then put it all back together and fitted it to the mig.

All going well, no error message on the screen. Live data on the laptop showed the sensor working as its voltage changed as I bounced the front of the car  ;D

BUT, my lights are now pointing too heigh all the time. Last night on dipped beam, the cats eyes were lit up like a runway for almost a mile infront of me! ::) (must admit, it was very impressive!  ;D)

Is it likely that the sensor's damaged by the water?
Or do the lights need resetting back to their normal position or something? Also what voltage should the front sensor be at when its parked on level ground?

I'd guess the sensor is giving crap readings

I cant remember what the reading was when parked up. 3.6v rings a bell.

But they dont need resetting then?
