Title: Remote Central locking not flashing lights!

Hi,

Since getting it 2 weeks ago,my car hasn't flashed the lights when locking the doors with the remote. It was suggested that I operate the hazard switch lots to clean the contacts - that didn't make a difference.

I've also swapped the central locking ecu from my donor car and the fault stays with the car.

I'm wondering if it might be anything to do with the tow bar wiring? This seemd to plug into the n/s rear light cluster and has a relay.

Any ideas? I'll disconnect it tomorrow and see what happens.

When I lock my car they dont flash either,
from what i've heard by early models they dont.

I have 2 cars - both S reg, one flashes the lights and one dosn't. I've moved the CL control unit between cars and the fault stays with the car - not the ECU.

Will try removing the tow bar wiring tomorrow.
