Title: Boot release

Not sure if i should post this one here but, my boot release button does not work in the car, only works on the key, fuse maybe? any ideas please..

deffo faulty?

ie your not trying with the key in, engine running?

Do some of these need a looooong press of the button?  :-/  :-/

no only with the key out of the ignition, just no responce.

early facelifts and later facelifts the boot release works defferently.  later is press and hold for 2s, no matter what stat ign is in. earlier only works with ign off (i think) and a quick press

Cheers for that - just picked up my 2.6 V6 CD yesterday on an '02, and was getting a bit worried that the boot release did not work off the switch... the only Omega I've had before was an early facelift, so it was just a quick press.... thanks again for saving me taking the console to bits ;)

Great site indeed, I also assumed needed new switch.

Not only helped me understand how it works, but also followed the guide to cut the wire so it now works the way I expected.
