Yep, OBDII is compatible mate. Have a look at the different scanners that can be used with Opel / Vauxhall Omega cars:

Has anybody on here got an OBD-II tool? I know TheBoy has the Tech2. :o

Standard OBDII (Approx £30 - £100)
Many different types, either standalone device, or ELM32x type devices. Reliable, often easy to use. Many can do Live Data.

Reads 2.2/2.6/3.2 engines only (some may also do partial autobox code reads).

For ELM devices, try http://www.scantool.net

Also TheBoy's topic (above) only mentioned the 2.2/2.6/3.2 engines, does this mean they don't work on 2.5 V6?

I'm new to Omega's never mind Diagnostics, I need help finding a cheap reliable OBD-II for my Omega which provides live data too!

Thanks alot,
Alex

plenty of facelift 2000 2.5's out there, so guess it will be.

whats your budget

you can get engine codes free with a paperclip

to middle ground "My Naff Code Reader" at £600, all ecus & live data etc

to real tech2 at £2000, the whole works and programming  :y
