i recently removed a towbar from my scrap estate, i now want to fit it to the wifes estate, however, whoever fitted it chopped :(into the rear loom rather than using the plug, any idea`s on colour codes or even a diagram for me please. thanks. jon. :y

Have you got the Haynes manual? The wiring diagrams are quite useful and show the towing socket.
Using them and a meter you can work it out fairly easily.
-
nope, no haynes.
-
well worth the investment, you can usually get them for a fiver on ebay
-
or if anyone has a single socket with the conector on it they dont want?. save me buggering about.?. ::)
-
Halfords sell the connectors separately and a kit including cable instructions etc for reasonable money.

The wiring colours have been posted in this section before somewhere. A quick search will locate them, I'm sure.
