Sealed units although it is possible to change the batteries if you can find some!
Easier to get a new power sounder from VX, about £50 IIRC. No reprogramming needed :y

thanks guys difficult to get parts down here and always double the price will see how long it lasts cheers again :y

Be aware. There have been instances of the powersounder self-combusting due to battery leakage. IMHO I`d disconnect it.

I agree! Remove it for now, it won't hurt. They are less that a kilo so won't be expensive to post if you want one posting out ;) :y

Hi Rob, my 2.6 saloon started doing the same a couple of weeks ago... always seems to do it in an enclosed car park so it's really loud! Most annoying thing is it chirps a different number of beeps each time :-/
I've seen a couple floating around on eBay, but my mate back in Oz is sending me one over as the same part is used in several Holden models - it's working out at about GBP35 including postage.
