The wife's new elite estate has parking sensors and i don't think they are working the way they should. when you put it in reverse you get a single short note and then it just gives a continual note and does not change at any distance. It only stops when you take it out of reverse. has anyone had this before. :-/

Yep, happens occasionally on mine.
Could try unplugging the park pilot unit in the boot area then plugging it back in, also worth cleaning the park sensors.

I have after market Cobra ones fitted to my Mega and sometimes they do the same thing.I think it is caused by accumulation of dirt or water and one thinks it is close to an object.Agree with VXL V6...disconnect and give good clean then refit..also worth giving them a good wipe every so often, especially now weather is turning .

only time i've had agro was when some donkey fitted the lpg ::) and didnt push one of the sensor connecters fully home...

would not have thought it would be down to dirt or muck tbh but maybe wrong not sure bout the miggy`s sensors but when i worked for volvo if they had them fitted they were colour coded to match the bumper and they still worked fine
