Looks roughly right but might be worth giving them a call with your engine number handy just in case. Confirm it's a Gates kit as pictured too as this is a good quality kit.

engine number, as there are some variations to kit.

My engine code is X25XE so this corresponds to the ad, where can i get a cam locking tool from tho, that will be the biggest stumbling block

You'll need the actual engine number, because they changed the design during production of the engines.

Locking kits can be had from ebay and they are required to do a change properly.

You're looking for something like this although they can be had MUCH cheaper! (50-60 quid if you're lucky) or borrow one from a local member. http://www.toolmix.com/browse/product.asp?pid=61813&s52cnc=SHOPZILLA&s52r=SHOPZILLA

Oh, and in addition you'll need a cranked 30mm ring spanner, an E20 torx socket for the crank pulley and a selection of other torx sockets and spanners.

Might be worth considering changing the aux belt and water pump, and doing a coolant change while you're at it.

a guy i know says he can do it for £90 labour if i supply, he says he has the locking tool, so £180 all in, i think its worth that, what do you  think
