Keep getting flashed, so thought I'd check my headlights.
The wife's Elite seems fine, so lit up the garage door with hers and stuck some masking tape to the outlines of the beam pattern.
Put my MV6 in it's place, and not a great deal of difference, but enough for an oncoming driver to get a flash of my Xenons.
Is there a way of adjusting the beam pattern/aim on Xenon lights?

Just the same as any other head light Pete. There are adjusters for up & down and left & right. Once correct, the auto level sensors ajust around that point.
Providing that the adjusters inside your lights aren't Donald Ducked :-?

Once set they shouldn't need adjusting again.
There are plastic ball joints that pop off or get brittle in the headlights and on the sensors on the nearside suspension arms.
Also water gets into the sensors and the leveling motors.
There must be a guide in the maintenance section, going to have a look, back in a mo...

unless you bump the front of the car ;) ;)

Is there something I don't know about Pedro MV6's driving ? ;D
I can't find any previous threads at the mo but I have seen plenty about the linkage in the headlights coming adrift or the sensors popping off.

I agree with that, but assuming all is well other wise, your headlights will stay on aim whatever type they are ....

I totally agree.
What I have seen a number of times is a thread that starts with
1. How do I adjust my headlights?
and then
2. My adjusters have broken
and finally ends up with
3. I fixed my self leveling motor/sensor/linkage and I never needed to touch the adjuster.

I only noticed one of my adjusters was fubar'd when I was changing a side lamp. The fact that the reflector assembly wobbled in the breeze didn't look quite right to me.
A simple change of a tu'penny ha'penny side lamp took me all morning!!

Saw those adjusters, Mr. B, but wasn't sure that they were adjusters - noticed the text on the rubber about consulting the manual (which says summat about contacting Vx stealer **shudders**).
Will have a closer look today then.
I can see the levelling system working as I drive, but the high beams are searching fro roosting magpies in the trees, so deffo need this doing.

I would have thought that if your adjusters were busted then the headlamp would be prone to shine down rather than up?

The automatic adjusters, then yes, I agree. :y
I think I might have overdone the manual adjustment a little (can't see much now!), but at least I'm not getting flashed any more - and I now know how to adjust them! :)

Good stuff! :y Get it done properly though, that way you can make use of the maximum legal limit.
