Title: Indicator buzzer
Post by: Shackeng on 08 December 2009, 10:07:17
I find that I am often caught out leaving the indicator on after overtaking, due quiet buzzer. Any advice on how to utilise the towing buzzer (is it fitted as standard?) to boost the sound?

I do not have a towbar fitted.

Thanks :-[

you can fit one from towings systerm, but there is a buzz box you can buy at halfords it connects in line with the power to the indicators has instructions to fit it gose of when you turn and when hazards are on, think it was £6, or you can let them fit it for free. :y

I had a similar problem on my beach buggy, as couldn`t hear over the exhaust noise and I have no self cancelling at all, however, I did not want something that beeped all the time - really irritating.

After a recommendation from another oofer, I fitted one of these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INDICATOR-WARNING-BUZZER-WITH-ADJUSTABLE-DELAY_W0QQitemZ370292890657QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item56372d1c21

and it only beeps after a programmed number of flashes, so effectively only comes on after forgetting to cancel them - very easy to fit, and I am very pleased with the results.
