Hi all, anyone know if there is a check valve to stop water running back to washer bottle? mine takes ages to pump out of jet, if there is one on the estate 1999 can you tell me where it is please,
thanks shark1e

Worth checking that the washer jets themselves haven`t bunged up with crystallised washer fluid - when I lived in Stevenage, the hard water and cold weather seemed to make this happen quite often when a "rich" concentrate washer fluid was used.

thanks dave will check valve, front are instant but back takes poss 2-3 swipes before water comes out, good flow just slow. hence poss check valve gone or missing allowing water to run back and have to travel a good way to exit.

Our vans used to suffer badly with the rear washer blockages as they weren`t in constant use like the fronts.
Pull the jet off, and you may find a light blue sludge inside - a few minutes with a pin will usually clear it from the inside

ok mate will check thanks

whenever mine gets like this, a quick unblock with some fine 'picture wire' unblocks it fine.
Check the angle of the jet afterwards, you may need to angle it back to the screen (jet seems to move a little inside the assembly)

and you could of course, just cut the pipe somewhere and put in a non return valve (couple of quid from halfords or aquarium shop)

true good idea thanks
